Origin: "Could not connect to server. Please try again in a few minutes."

Hello!

Yesterday I could start origin and play my games without any problems. Today when I wanted to start the client, it always put me into offline mode and I could not go online. I reinstalled the Origin client and deleted all remaining files (excluding games) - twice. Now when I try to login I see a very small blank minimized Origin window, then after ~20 sec, it brings back the login windows with the message "Could not connect to server, please try again in a few minutes." I tried logging in with my firewall and anti-virus turned off, same error. I've restarted my pc and reseted my connection several times. All ports are forwarded. I will now copy-paste what I could get out of the log file in connection with the error:

It is highly likely that any new posts in this thread are not related to the original post, which is over two years old.

Should anyone still experience a similar issue as described in the thread title or anything related, then please try logging in at a later time as we are most likely experiencing a server interruption. You can check the Origin Server Status page for more information.

Should the issue persists then please refer to the following troubleshooting:

• Important: always run Origin as administrator
• Make sure you've set the proper time and date on your system.
• Make sure Origin is authorized by your anti-virus and firewall
• Reset Internet Explorer Settings
• Disable Proxy settings 
• Clear the Origin Cache data
• Reset the Windows Host File
• If unresolved, run your system in a clean boot

Hi there!

I don't know a direct way to fix your problem but I do know a way to open up your Origin in a different way which should fix it.

For any Win7 user (Win8 perhaps aswell) click on the "Show hidden pictograms" button and click on the Origin logo.

Sadly no luck I still cannot login.

What I don't understand is that I can log into help.ea.com and origin.com, and also into the Battlelog and Commander app on my tablet. My other programmes such as Hamachi, Steam, etc. all work flawlessly.

When I try to login to Origin, it seems to work at first. But instead of the regular, full-size Origin window appearing, a small, empty version appears. It looks like this: http://imgur.com/x4TnHqY,AsNPhw2#0

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Origin several times. I have also gone through other threads to try fixes for problems that sounded similar. For example, I tried running Origin as an administrator, making sure my LAN connection wasn't set to run by a proxy, changing the screen resolution, changing the default browser, checking for an offline cache folder (there isn't one that I can see), replacing the Windows host file, re-installing Origin in safe mode or while not connected to the internet, verifying the correct date and time for my computer, re-installing from previous versions of Origin, etc., etc., etc...

Nothing has worked so far.

Same for me, I play it normal at monday, but yesterday when I tried to login the same thing happens, I tried everything, and nothing until now...
