It's been posted before, but if you are just jumping to the end, here it is...This is a temporary workaround
You have to uninstall the Origin Client, then download and install an older version of the client (the version before the problem was introduced). Support gave me a they :
https://origin-a.akamaihd.net/Origin-Client-Download/origin/live/OriginSetup_10_5_41_27263.exe
The only problem is, every time you exit and restart the Origin client, it will force you to update to the broken version again. So you will have to uninstall and reinstall ... again.
Still no permanent fix.

Everyone who tried everything with the help page and such try removing your USB mass storage devices like USB sticks. This fixed my issues and took me two days to find!
Origin and EA, please fix this embarrassing bug.

I just looked at my USB and I have nothing about mass storage. So nice try I am glad it works for you. Cone on EA this is getting ridiculous it's been at least a month Please get this fixed. I am tired of loading and unloading a old client.

None of these solutions work, not even downloading an older client. EA can you please just * fix this so I can play Battlefront 2 when the new update comes out. I'm already sick of having to wait over a month for this to be resolved.

i don't know what is the relation between origin and the storage driver which is not even active...but it works, nothing else worked for me.
I have the latest Windows 10 1903 (build 18362.295)
Steps you have to follow:
I thought this will not work, but looks like magic happens!
