I fixed it by changing the Windows 10 settings (Settings->Date and Time->Internettime) to automated time sync via internet.
Now it works fine.

I'm still having this issue. Clock update, Certificate install, and the general fixes listed in the main Communication post hasn't worked.

for me the error still exists and actually got worse, now the launcher also looks like this:
also tried all of the suggested solutions in this thread.
btw, I don't know if that helps, but the forgot password and create new account buttons do nothing when clicking on them
