Ok @baroquepop

Make sure Time/Date is correctly set in your machine.

Clear DNS cache https://help.ea.com/en/help/pc/how-to-flush-dns-cache-for-windows/

Clear the browser cache: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clearing-your-browsers-cache

Clear hosts file http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034

Restart your machine.

Run the setup file Origin with Admin rights  http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/#2

NOTE if your issue persists try to reset (not restart) your modem, resetting your modem can fix gaming troubles,  "can't get on the Internet" problems, port issues, wireless issues and device conflicts.

I wait your feedback.

i've just come home and opened my laptop and it looks like everything's back to normal, so it seems like it may have been a problem on origin's end. regardless, thank you very much for your help! :D

★★★★ Guide

What or how have you tried to make it work? Right off the top of my head there are a few things you can try and fix this, start with the simplest. Temporarily disable your anti virus auto detect / sonar then try to open Origin Client.  Let us know if that works or not, take note on any differences that accrue  while working with this issue.

@MinnyFinn

Try to clear your Origin cache:
All settings in Origin (only in Origin not in the games) are back to default settings after this.)

    - close Origin completely. (right click on the Origin symbol in the task bar > close)
    - Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    - Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%/Origin" (without quotes) into the new window > hit ENTER
    - Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for the "LocalContent" folder. (The "LocalContent" folder must remain untouched.)
    - Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    - Type or copy and paste "%AppData%" (without quotes)  > hit ENTER
    - Now your Windows explorer should have brought you to your "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Roaming" folder
    - Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the "Roaming" folder
    - In the address bar of your Windows explorer click on the word "AppData".
    - Open the "Local" folder.
    - Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the  "Local" folder
    - Restart your PC. > test.

Re: Blank screen while trying to install Origin

Clearing the cache solved the issue for me.
I didn't need to restart after clearing it. Just give it a few minutes to catch up once you start up the Origin client again.
Also, don't forget to ctrl+alt+del into taskmanager and kill any tasks related to origin before trying to delete the cache.

Re: Origin on Desktop Client is stuck on loading screen.. help?

Oh, you beautiful, beautiful man! This works wonderfully! I did things a very slightly different though. I went into internet settings and just disabled my ethernet, put in my sign-in info, re-enabled ethernet and hit sign in (I may have pressed too fast and it was like I was still disconnected, but anyway..). It signed in offline mode, but all I had to do was click 'go online' and I was in.

Thank-You!
