Hey, if you are seeing this error can you try clearing the Origin Cache.

You can clear the Origin Cache by following the steps below:

  1. Completely log out and close down Origin
  2. Hold down the Windows key and R
  3. Type in "%ProgramData%" (without quotes) and click OK
  4. Now open the Origin folder.
  5. Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for LocalContent (do not delete this one)
  6. Hold down the Windows key and R
  7. Type in "%AppData%" (without quotes) and click OK
  8. This will take you to a Roaming folder, which is located inside of AppData. Delete the Origin folder
  9. Click on the word "AppData" at the top of your window
  10. Open the Local folder here
  11. Delete the Origin folder listed here
  12. Restart your PC and log back into Origin

Kill origin if running from task manager
Try disconnecting from Internet.
Start origin when disconnected
See if you can login offline
Reconnect

Hi, thank you for the response. However, as described, my origin is on a mac. May I please ask for any suggestions to solve this problem?

Hi, thank you very much for the help.Unfortunately, when I tried to open origin in the safe mode, the same problem remains. Then I tried to reset the DNS cache both in and not in the safe mode, however, nothing worked><

@VivienneDelilah If you are on a Mac then try these steps:

  1. Open your local hard drive.
    • Macs have two library folders: a root level folder and a user level library folder (~). Follow the root level folder.
  2. Open the Library folder.
  3. You can either use the keys Command ⌘ + Shift + G or use Finder > Go > Go to Folder.
  4. Open the Application Support folder, then open the Origin folder.
  5. Delete the DownloadCache folder.
  6. Empty your Trash.

Log in to the Origin client and check for your games in My Game Library.

Hi, thank you very much for the suggestion! However, I tried the steps and the Downloadchache folder was empty. I deleted it anyway, but the problem remains.

Without doing anything more since my first post. Which was to delete the files in the two directories. There were instructions for this earlier.

It is now working and displaying properly again.

Hi and Thanks!

FYI I had to do this twice.  On the first attempt there was no Origin folder in the AppData/Local folder.  When I restarted, the problem remained.  The next time I deleted the folders in reverse order to your instructions (because why the hell not) and it worked.  No more blank screen.

Strangely the app had continued to work in the background while allowing zero functionality - my download queue had continued as normal.  It seems purely an issue with the GUI.

Thanks again,

CeeJam
