I think i found a solution, that helped me get my origin launched
It works but you have to work with it a little...
What i did was this
Step 1: Disconnect your wifi on your desktop
Step 2: Launch Origin (the log in screen should pop up)
Step 3: Put in Your Email address and Password
Step 4: Check the box that says keep me signed in
Step 5: Do not sign in yet....
Step 6: Reconnect your wifi on your desktop !
(this will cause origin to go back to the load screen possibly if it does wait for 30 seconds to see if the sign in screen pops back up, if not then dont close out of origin just disconnect your wifi and reconnect and wait 30 sec to a min for it to pop up )
Hopefully it only takes one or two times to disconnect and reconnect but finally if you do see the sign in screen
your email addressor username should be already filled out...
Just type in your password and Check keep me signed in and it should work!!!
And next time you log on you wont have to sign in. I hope this works it worked for me.. and i saw my sims for the first time in 2 weeks :eahigh_file:
But I hope EA finds the real reason behind whats going on!
Let me know how it works!!! Good luck

Does this solution work on any of your system?

I'm having this issue, too. I've done everything listed in this thread and have had no luck. I've been in customer service for over two hours and nothing is working for me. I'm running windows 7 and have uninstalled client. Reinstalling, from the website link, has done nothing for me. Every once in a while, a new download will load a little bit further from the previous attempt, but will crash after some time, never actually reinstalling. The infamous blank, white screen is all I can get most times. I'm extremely frustrated and I don't know what to do anymore. I've spent too much money and time to just give up.

@all
Could you please go to your network settings and look if it is set to private?
As a summary for everyone what could be tried.
- Make sure you have the most up to date version of the internet explorer for your system.
- make sure that the use of beta updates in Origin is allowed.
- Restart your router.
- Shut down your Windows firewall (make sure that the firewall will be disabled for all network types. / private, public) Also shut down your router firewall if possible and de-install the antivirus and anti-malware software. (just for testing purpose, don't forget to activate the firewall and the antivirus software later on.)
Should it work after you disabled the firewall, here is a description how to allow a program to communicate through the firewall.
- If you can't shut down your router firewall, make sure your router let all this ports communicate.
- run the installation exe and Origin as Administrator.

Well I don't know if this was mentioned before but I ran my computer on safe mode with networking and I ran the origin installer as an administrator. When I did that I got like sorta a bunch of Origin logos. Sorta like a bunch of stickers on a page? They were off to the right of the window. The window normal sized and the rest was just blank save for the little black thing at the top that says origin. Imma try to get a pic if anyone else hasn't seen this.

Had a second look at your Dxdiag.
That's a Z500 Laptop you have there, right?
Is the GT 740M you have set to the main graphic adapter in the Nvidia control panel? If not, set it so.
If that don't works, try the last Nvidia driver from the LENOVO side.
Do you have a software named "Qualcomm Atheros Killer Network Manager" installed? (or just Killer Network Manager) if so uninstall that software reboot and test.
There is also a newer W-lan network driver available > install reboot and test.
Edit: Furthermore, I would disable "Connectify" for the time being.

@holger1405 I've already done these steps and none have worked.

Do you have a Intel GPU as well?
