Ok so all of a sudden a few weeks back, I would open origin and it would not load the main menu
I tried clearing the cache for origin at first, did not really do anything. So today I uninstalled Origin and went and downloaded the standalone installer. I installed origin and its still doing the same.

From the image you supplied @Melktert15 clearing the Origin cache should work. Would you mind going through the steps again and ensuring that you follow each step exactly as laid out.

I had this same problem about 3 weeks ago. I tried this fix, and it worked.
Today I'm having the same problem. I tried this fix twice. It's not working.

Hey @Melktert15 can you try it a second time and ensure that you follow the steps exactly.
if after this the issue remains then try reinstalling Origin.

In that case @newbee1970 it's no harm reinstalling Origin.
You can leave your games installed and once reinstalled just right click on the game tiles and select Locate Game.

I have deleted all except LocalContent, but Logs wont let me delete it since apparently the folder or a file is open in another program but origin is already closed.

In that case @Deadly_Demon1 try a clean boot of your system and then clear the Origin Cache: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

i'm having the same problem as above. I have to keep clearing cache every time I want to play sims 4. saw your post about clean boot. which I did but still same issue. log in ok but grey boxes every where and can't connect to game. do I need to clear cache every single time...

Once you clear that cache does everything work as it should for a time @Delly1975?
If so then this could point to an issue with your system.
Can I ask you to try reinstalling Origin to see if the issue continues?
