@XxangelxX124 and @gerrythemoth,
I'm wondering if you managed to make any progress, did the tips by @Bluebellflora help and did you eventually manage to download The Sims 4?

Hello! I got The Sims 4 and trying to downlod the base game, but this prompt keeps showing up - "Origin needs to download files and is waiting fod permission. PLEASE CHOOSE "Yes" when *Windows* prompts you for permission. This is the first game I bought so I'm not sure if the same error will come up for the others.
I am using a Macbook Pro on Big Sur 11.3.1. I had 3 EA help advisors help me TO NO LUCK. Help?

Thank you, but no luck with any of these solutions really fixed the problem.
1. ResetOrigin, uninstall, then installed Origin
2. Manual delete of all Origin files (cache, etc) restart and re-install.
3. Changed the destination folders
4. Gave Full Disk access to Origin
Did all these one way or another, and didn't work still. It would push through to asking language to use and terms & conditions agreement, start download; says "Preparing" then same prompt of waiting for permission comes up. Now I don't get the language-t&c prompt. When I start downloading, it goes straight to the waiting for permission prompt.

I have done everything possible. My backup drive permission is where it should be. I have full disk access to Origin and I still get an error. Mhy mac is up to date version 11.4. I have installed and reinstalled Origins as well. I don't know what else to do. I have trying to install sims4 on my backup drive.
