Origin keeps updating every time I turn my computer on

Go into your control panel
Uninstal programmes
Find Origin
Uninstall
Put your Disc 1 Sims 4 in and reinstall origin
Game should work then

The simplest solution is to open up your browser, and go to the Origin website and download the installer, which will then run and update on top of your old install, breaking the perpetual update loop. This method doesn't require run as administrator and updates you to the latest version.

I'm not sure as what caused this to start with, I hadn't run Origin in a while, it needed to update from sometime in March and I've recently gotten a new internet provider, I've been able to start up Origin fine but I've had a few frustrating 'send code to recognize computer' when signing onto this site.

When this happened, I did the quickest solution I know when a program refuses to recognize an update and it seems to have taken. I restarted without an update showing up and it's at the latest version.

Easier way, try this:

Launch it as administrator. Right click and select "Run as Administrator".

It works for me.

I have done all of the above.  All Origin does is update, put up the sign-in window, and tell me I am offline.

you click on the origin icon on the desktop with the right mouse button.

so the menu appears go down to >run as administrator<.

on mine its the third one from the top of the list.

I am stuck in a perpetual loop of Origin trying to update and then when its done, there is an error saying i need to reinstall.  

IHad this problem for about a week and at least it would still let me play afterwords, now it quits origin and starts over with the update...

I have tried everything in this thread and nothing.
