Origin home screen wont load [ Edited ]

Hi,

I've been having trouble with my origin client, once i start it up i log in no dramas but then it tries to go to the load screen and just does nothing I've tried playing a game through its shortcut but still doesn't work. I've also left it for 2 hours thinking it might just take a while to load but even that did nothing. i have tried clearing the catche and it did nothing. also tried reinstalling that also did not work.

I tried the clean reboot still didnt work bu then i i tried reinstalling with new download of the origin install and then that worked thank your for your assistance.

Clearing the Origin Cache should get you sorted in no time @woodster10101/.

You can clear the Origin Cache by following the steps below:

1. Completely log out and close down Origin
2. Hold down the Windows key and R
3. Type in "%ProgramData%" (without quotes) and click OK
4. Now open the Origin folder.
5. Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for LocalContent (do not delete this one)
6. Hold down the Windows key and R
7. Type in "%AppData%" (without quotes) and click OK
8. This will take you to a Roaming folder, which is located inside of AppData. Delete the Origin folder
9. Click on the word "AppData" at the top of your window
10. Open the Local folder here
11. Delete the Origin folder listed here
12. Restart your PC and log back into Origin

Hey @EA_Darko 

i tried that already just tried it again still did not work just hold that screen and i can see it updating apex in the icorn bar with the green over half the icon.

i have also tried reinstalling it that also did not work.

In that case, @woodster10101 can you go ahead and try the steps again while also ensuring that you disable your anti-virus and firewall before launching Origin.

Sorry to see that you are having issues @Ukkashahmad.

I tested it just there and was able to log in without issue so the best thing to do when this occurs takes a couple of minutes to go through the following steps:

• Close Origin completely by right clicking the Origin system tray icon and selecting Exit.
• Make sure Time/Date is correctly set on the PC
• Make sure Origin is authorized by your anti-virus and firewall
• Reset Internet Explorer Settings
• Untick the options in LAN Settings ( make sure nothing is checked under Proxy Server )
• Clear Origin Cache Data
• Reset the Windows Host File
• Reboot your computer. Now right-click Origin and select Run as administrator
• If still unresolved, please do a clean boot
