Origin has encountered a serious problem and must close after last update

After the last update I keep getting the error above when opening Origin. I believe it's only when something is updating, because after reinstalling I could open Origin again but when I started an update it crashed again. I know there are similar threads but none of those solutions worked.

What I've tried is:

- Clearing cache

- Reinstalling Origin

- All compatibility modes

- Created a second admin account

- Windows update

- Checked firewall

And the problem still persists.

Any help would be appreciated.

can you try deleting the gamefolders by hand? i had this kind of issue after trying move a game from one disk to an other, but the gamefolder was already there and origin wasn't able to overwrite it. So Origin launcher was crashing every time i tried to start it.

the default origin game folders and your possible custom changed folders.

Hey @Snubl can you go ahead and ensure that your anti-virus and firewall are not interfering with Origin. To test you can simply disable both and then try launching it again.
