Nothing worked so far...

But I notice that the release note on the website is not same as the one in Help->About in origin. I think the web site has been update since 9.6

I think I am going to wait for tomorrow if EA_David can find a solution for me.

I am also having this problem with the SIMMS 4..  It's just greyed out??

Same problem. I cant download any games. Always showing "queued" when i click to start download and select direction folder.

Ok, problem is solved. I just did this simple thing and it works: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/delete-origin-cache-files/

I think the Origin folders inside of Appdata is the real problem.

I tried this repeatedly under the assumption that it would work, but the issue still remains! The update is always just "queued", and no active tasks in the queue!

Hello @TheMutePrincess

Now you need to checked in Origin / Application Settings / Advanced/Safe Mod Downloading-checked Enable Safe Mod Downloading and do not forget make sure you are the administrator, run the setup file Origin with Admin rights and restart Origin.
