I can see there are some threads on this from 2016 but I have tried deleting the app, cache and app data folders/files. I reinstalled it after removing the folders in safe mode and still get the above error.

I don't know why I keep doing this to myself. I left origin and EA a few years ago for this exact same issue and it's still here. I stupidly just paid for Origin Premium and now I have to spend hours trying to fix this crap. Anybody have a solution for this?

Sorry to see that you are having issues @durrani13.

When this issue occurs it's no harm uninstalling Origin and then running ccleaner before re-installing Origin: https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download

If you can try that and let me know how you get on.

Hi Darko,

Thanks for your quick response the ccleaner fixed the issue. It's a shame that I need a third party program to fix something that is an EA app.

Glad to hear that the issue is sorted @durrani13.

That ccleaner fixed the issue would mean that the issue was most likely related to an issue with an old file on your system and not in fact Origin.
