It appears that you've turned off some anti-aliasing settings.
Depending on which setting you use this can cause screen blur. Very clever that you figured this out - thanks for posting a detailed solution!

I just had this problem and fixed it using the the second poster's method, here's what I did. (Windows 10)
Close Origin
Right click on the Origin desktop icon and select Troubleshoot Compatibility.
Then click Troubleshoot program
Make sure the only box that is checked on this screen reads "The program opens but doesn't display correctly"
Click Next
Make sure the only box that is checked on this screen reads "Program does not display properly when large scale font settings are selected"
Click Next
Click Test the Program...
This will open Origin, which will give you a display message about windows compatibility mode
Click continue and Origin will open up as usual
[Did this solve the problem?]
If so, go back to the Program Compatibility window and click next, followed by Save these settings for this program.
Worked for me so i thought I'd share what i did

That's not a solution. It's a workaround. I have the same issue. Origin client is blurry on my 4k TV. It gives me headaches to read texts.
The workaround did not work.
And btw the user is not supposed to edit himself his GC settings (the app should work for everybody after installation). Same for Compatibility settings. When you start to dig into Compatibility settings this means that the app you are trying to use comes from the Middle Age.
Please fix this EA. This issue exists for too long.

Same here.
The troubleshooting option with scaling doesnt work either.
Origin is the only app in 2019, that can not manage to display properly in 4K... nice job EA.

Mine is FHD, and Origin suffers the blurry text as well. I mean cmon, EA. UPlay and Steam doesn't have this kind of crap. We're no longer living in 90's.
