Origin chat sound/notification do not work [ Edited ]

Hello.

The notifications and the sound of incoming chat messages do not work even if they are activated. How do I solve this? In case I have to reinstall Origin I lose my installed games? they are in the same partition C:

EDIT: A friend confirms that the chat sound does not work even if he has activated it, although the notifications work for him.

EDIT: I realized that the sound was too low and to hear it I had to turn up the volume a lot. I solved it by changing it to another beep sound in the installation folder.

I don't have this problem with my application. Can I ask what version of Origin do you use? You can check it by going to Help -> About.

And don't worry about reinstalling all your games. It's most likely only a problem with the application and reinstalling Origin will not remove the games from your PC, so you can try to uninstall Origin and download the newest version from our website too.
