Just following up on my post on 12/3/16...still working fine after following the OICW_Hunter's instructions. Again, for whatever it's worth to people.

I fixed it, when i deleted the OriginThinSetupInternal.exe from the Origin Install folder and cleaned the Cache. But I would think its enough to delet the Setup file.
See above a quote of the post that @Braxien is referring to.

I have lost all respect for you origin. I am a 20 year tech/owner of [website removed] and have to constantly uninstall and reinstall every time origin tries to update and gives me the oops. And you have the audacity to tell people about admin and bla bla bla. It is your problem and not one other program in all my years of online gaming since Return to Castle Wolfenstein acts so buggy. Just make your program not update so much maybe and when it does make it work like everyone else does. You work great until you update and then bam you crash yourself. So silly. I don't want all of my customers to be set up as admin anyway!! And your software shouldn't give!

Hi,
There is a problem with delete file C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\OriginThinSetupInternal.exe for some reason i don't know why, but after rename that file to whatever you want and install
from that link https://download.dm.origin.com/origin/live/OriginSetup.exe,
all update to version "10.3.5.6379 - 0" without any errors.
There are some antivirus antimalvare software that change on the fly rights to files and disabling it won't deactivates it.
I think auto delete this file right after installing auto update fix that issue for good.
Let me know that my post works on error 9.0
Cheers
P.S. Can i get a premium for bf1 for help EA ? ... EA

Ok, the origin thing I didnt have access to deleted itself? Or it disappeared? But I deleted the origin folder completely and redownloaded it, Origin seems to be working now, no 9:0 error anymore.

Your tip is much appreciated, but I can't give away free stuff..
You've probably removed an Origin updater file in this manner. Glad to hear that it is working again

Hullo's,
Okay so long story short I've tried every suggestion on here, (on round 6 now), but every time I try to install origin it instantly tells me there is an error 9:0. I'm really frustrated at this point. I've made sure nothing of origins is still installed I've searched deleted, renamed, ran through my reg. and short of going into the base programing have deleted everything, including my games and their data just to be sure. I've tried downloading it several times now and still nothing,
I'm running windows 10 on an hp laptop. It was fine this morning before I left, now its kaput. Please, someone help. I know its just a game, but this is ridiculous.
Thank you in advance.

I found another comment from a player that resolved this error by doing the following:
Can you let me know if that did the trick?

No man,
This is freaking insane that your custommer tells you about how to FIX bugs in game manager installer !!!!!!!!!!
i have a bunch of games from EA and that case with MISSPROPERLY WORKING INSTALLATOR is from about couple of months
6 times i must get rid of that silly program, every time when you ADD some CIRCLE or christmass, delete all files, reinstall this and reverify all of ~400GB of DATA !
Then i say "that's it" i run diagnostics and system file examiner FOR YOU for YOUR LAZYness and get you solution.
that is fair ?
I pay for games not for silly application which isn't FULLY checked, who give me back my NERVES and TIME of waiting for VERIFY all of this, reinstall all of this 6 TIMES !!!!!!!!
Every time that have a sign after ERROR "restart and everything will be fine" ... leaf in a face for that MORR.. super inginierer who WROTE THAT SENTECE after ERROR.

We are a community help forum, which is the reason that you see posts from other players that like to help each other out.
In your situation if you keep getting this error after updates then I would recommend to check your security software as it is most likely blocking the updates.
