Origin Update Issue - Folder Does Not Exist

I downloaded the origin update today and now when I got to update Sims 4 it says "Folder does not exist".

I just pressed the 'choose new folder' button and reselected my sims 4 game folder again.
It's probably best to restart origin after that and it should work. Hope this helps

I'm experiencing this same bug. the fold that it can't recognize, at least for me, is the origin game directory file as a whole. I can't install new games or update old ones. Basically, this isn't a problem with the sims 4 but the origin launcher itself.

I know this isn't going to help but like literal black magic origin started working again... I wish I knew what caused the problem but for now, I'm just glad it's working again

Well funny enough I was actually going to post about this today - it magically started working for me again as well! Perhaps this was a temporary glitch for some users??

Running Origin as administrator helped me immensely for some reason.

It's not working still :/ I can't even find the sims 4 folder...

I'm having the same issue with Mass Effect.  Origin is in admin mode.  It says the file is in read only mode when you dig into it.  I changed that, but it changes back.  I haven't used origin in a year or so.  Is there a way to update it?
