Origin Not Updating-11/2018

Before I can play games, Origin needs to update. When I select update, I get the loading screen that says: Installing the latest version of Origin. The pictures change, but there is no update occurring. I have also tried reinstalling Origin, but this did not solve the problem. I am using a Mac and Origin has not had any problems prior to this.

I am having the same issue, except I am using an HP and windows 10.
