I just got a new laptop and downloaded the origin installer after running all of the windows software updates and driver updates for the computer. When I try to launch the installer I am presented with 2 error messages (attached). I have tried re-downloading the installer and downloading an older version of origin.
The older version of origin would install but as soon as the app was launched it would try updating and then tell me that the update couldn't be completed and to download the latest version.

@Dysl3xicGh0st Those files are part of the 2015 VC++ runtimes, which Origin needs to install properly. It's best to uninstall your current copies, if you have any, and then download new ones from Microsoft. Hit Windows key-i, select Apps, scroll down to Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable, click on both the x86 and x64 entries (if you have them), and select Uninstall. You can download new copies here. Be sure to install both the x86 and x64 versions.

Restart your computer, and try to install Origin again.
