-----what I forgot to mention is: Installing the x86 version of the c++ 2015-2019, additionally to the x64 version, did not do the trick.....

@Stev_1C is the 2015-2019 version the only one, you installed? Or do you have other versions installed, as well? And how about maybe Direct x? Do you have this installed? Maybe you can post a screenshot of all your installed runtimes?

Hey @newbi2020. 

This is something that we've been seeing reports of. We've sent it up to the Origin team for a look. 

In the meantime installing the Visual C++ Redistributable usually helps with that. Did you download the x86 or x64 version? If you only downloaded one of them try downloading the other to see if that helps.

I had the 0xc000007b error when i started Origin installer. So i removed all msvcp dlls from SysWOW64 folder. The error was gone but a new one appeared, The code execution cannot proceed becouse msvcp_win.dll wan not found. One of the msvcps responcible for the 0xc000007b error. I put msvcp_win.dll back in SysWOW64 folder and the 0xc000007b error was back. Ima getting a bit frustrated.

Do you have Origin installed on the same storage drive as Windows, or is it installed on a separate storage device?

Hi @hatemawad2879. 

Did you have the chance to try installing those Visual C++ Redistributable files that were mentioned earlier in this thread? If not, I'd recommend downloading those from the Microsoft support website to see if that helps with your issue.

i think i am having a similar issue. my origin application wouldnt launch itself or any games and i uninstalled it to reinstall. however, the installer says that it encountered an error and says the error code is 16:-1 and i do not know what to do
