You need the x86 version of the Microsoft re-distributable thingy... Installed that and instantly started working (it did ask me if I wanted to modify, uninstall etc, just click modify and all should be well).

@richardmochahari Hi,

Try doing a Clean Boot first and proceed with the steps again afterwards: https://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

Cheers,

Nils

The x86 is indeed the correct version for 32bit, thanks for adding that, @DoubleHardKent. To add to that: make sure that you restart your system after the installation as it might not always work immediately afterwards.

hi um i just tried that and it still did not work and is there any way for someone to look into this problem more.( C:\windows\SYSTEM32\MSVCR120.dill is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the sodtware vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f.) this is what being shown to me so any help would be appreciated

You might want to run a System File Checker then to see if files on your system are corrupted. If that does not help, then I would recommend doing a System Refresh.

I have been struggling with this for a while now. I only solved it because I could not install VC++ 2010 for a software development IDE. In researching why VC2010 wouldn't install, I discovered that Windows 10 has disabled NET Framework by default.

I enabled this, installed both x64 & x86 VC++2010 and it resolved the issue.

To enable NET Framework in Windows 10, go to your Control Panel > Uninstall a program > Turn Windows features on or off > expand and put a check to any NET Framework you see, typically 3.5 & 4.6. Then reinstall both of the VC++ x64 & x86 for 2010 & 2013.

This FINALY resolved my problem. Hope it helps!

Thanks !! It worked like a charm !!
