I am on the brink of insanity from this. I have, quite recently, as in yesterday, installed Windows 10 20h1 onto my computer. I have done almost everything that this thread offers except for using ccleaner because I don't trust it. I have tried multiple commands and multiple installs of vcredist, but to no avail. I have even scanned my hdd for errors and it still didn't work. I have also tried clean boot, but the error appeared there as well. Windows update... no updates, Vcredist... reinstalled multiple times, sfc scan... nothing wrong, chkdsk... repaired.

System Specs:

AMD A10-4600M APU

8gb ram

x64 processor, x64 os

OS: Windows 10 Home x64 ver 2004

Toshiba Satellite

After having reinstalling Windows for the second time and doing the whole vcredist thing, I decided to copy files from a pc with origin already working over to sysWOW64 and it worked! I assume that Origin was trying to load the 64 bit library but it was 32 bit.

im sorry to say but I have that issue and I had to delete alot of things. I tried watching youtube videos(it deleted a couple) but after a while I got tired of it. Nothing works as far as I tried. The only way I was able to play was by getting a new laptop and I could play. But only my computer it still shows issue  0xc000007b

★★★ Guide

I have this issue for several days now.

- I have all C++ installed (2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015-2019), both x86+x64 and even additional runtimes

- deinstalled and reinstalled all the visual C++ directly from the origin folder as they seem the only necessary files

- scanned for corrupt files - found some, windows repaired them, scanned again, nothing found

- have all updates for windows 10

NOTHING HELPS!

Then I had the idea to use an older installer. THAT worked. Well, kinda. I managed to open the program but it reset my language (because the app always knows better than me what language I use), it restarted, started to update and the error returned. Currently I can use the installer to start the app, log in and prevent updates and start my games until I close origin. But when I start it again, it wants to update and the error returns or the error returns before the update notification even shows up. Or it just crashes when I open it.

Its mind blowing that this app is being updated by still relies on very old additions from an obsolete operating system (windows 7, 8 and older). I dont have this issue with any other software. Not battle.net, or epic launcher, twitch app or anything. They all keep their software free of this crap.

They can claim it as much as they want. This is NOT an operating system problem. Its your app, EAids! And instead of fixing this problem by adding all the necessary components to the app, they need to be installed seperately by the users which evidently doesnt work for everyone. Even blizzard cant compete with this level of incompetence and they are world champion league incompetent when it comes to fixing things especially when they arent broken and not fixing things that are in dire need of fixing.

Btw, the problem of the app minimizing when starting a game despite any setting about app behavior when starting a game was alledgedly passed on to the team responsible for such things but it seem it either never got to their desk or it never got fixed. And I reported that about two years ago. Unbelievable...
