I can't install the origin client.
The installer will prompt run, or the administrator box with pop but it does nothing after that. It also shows it is running in the background.
The following I have tried:
Run in administrater
Made sure all of my windows 7 updates were installed
Disabled both my antivirus, and malware
turned off my firewall
Any help to why it wont even let me install the client in the first place would be cool

Try this version of the Installer. (Run the "OriginSetup.exe" as an Administrator.)
If that don't helps, create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.

The Windows 7 DxDiag is missing some important info.
Please go to your Reliability monitor > Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time and copy and paste or type "perfmon /rel" (without the quotes) in the new Window > hit “ENTER” and look if it has entries for the game you have trouble with.
If yes double click at the last entry for the "Origin.exe", copy the info to the clipboard, and save it to a text file.
You can attach the DxDiag text file you created (and the “Reliability monitor” text file as well) to your post in the “Reply” window with the “Choose File” button.

I did run it as administrator, the reliability monitor didn't have it on there because the installer for the origin client won't even open to install the program in the first place.

Please preform a clean boot and test the installation in clean boot mode.

Didn't work, I appreciate your help but I give up. I'm just gonna take it as a loss and play some other companies games
