I had the same problem as you. All I did was make sure that the file path for my games was right in Origin and then clicked download. It didn't download anything, just checked my files and it worked.

Oh of course,, YOU CAN'T change one Games path.

It's all or nothing.

The old one you could per game.

Having an SSD you keep the high End new games on, the less games on another.

1 Game will run outside Origin, the Other wont. So now I cant use it.

Who ever plans these things needs sacking.

"Oh look, lets make it pretty" Oh look, it don't work like previous.

Drives are not bottomless pits.

I tried copying over the Origin Games folder with no luck. Your suggestion to start the download, pause it and then copy over game files worked with Battlefront (2015). Thanks for saving me 5 hours an 50GB.

Just login using the same account details (email address and password). For example, you always need to use the correct pin code when using your bank account; the same holds true for your EA Account.

Hello Team,

It was a simple fix for me. here is what I did:

  1. Change the location of Game Installs to desired drive
  2. Install a new game from Origin
  3. Now Go to C: Drive "Origin Games" and cut the Games (In this example Battlefield 1) you would like to paste them to the new destination
  4. Go to Origin and click on the Game (In this example Battlefield 1).
  5. It will ask you to install the game, simply click yes
  6. It will find the already downloaded and installed game in the new location and will take a moment to settle it there

Simple yet efficient way to do it.

Hope this helps.

This worked for me as of 1/23/2017 on Origin 10.3.5.6379 - 0 with my 'Battlefield 1' game.

Does this include Sims 3 games installed from a disk?

Won't you need a new code to install again from the disk?

You register your games to an EA account, and you will always need to log into that account to play your games. This means that once your code is registered, you will not be asked to do so again.
