Thank you for letting us know! It's good to hear that there are workarounds for this issue.
However, I can confirm that this shouldn't be happening and it's an issue we're tracking. If you do run into this again and can generate an Origin Error Report, it'll help us get it fixed for everyone.

Will do, and maybe someone else here can do so. As soon as I'm able, I'll re-enable all the services and see if the issue recreates itself. If it does, I'll do as you ask and will reply back with the info/link.

I submitted an error report when the first error occurred (did you want the Report ID?).
In addition to all the recommendations, I did a clean boot, and it appears that Origin is updating now.

it freezes now on "update in queue"

I paid for the game, I'm not going through all those steps for "clean boot". EA fix this or refund me.

I had this issue. On Windows 10 1903 18362.535. A Clean Boot fixed it.
