Origin Client - Download Paused / Waiting for Permission

Hi guys.. I've been struggling for days and finally fixed this issue. Hopefully you've all sorted it by now but for anyone that needs it here it is.. 

Search services on your computer.

Right click on OriginClientService and click properties.

Click the drop down arrow next to startup type and change it to Disable.

Reboot Origin.

Download game

@SarahSFJI'm sorry, but it really is hit or miss when this kind of thing occurs.  Best course of action is to reboot your PC in Safe Mode With Networking (you can Google on how to do that) and see if it solves it.  If it does, then that means there is some other service/application that is getting in the way.  I still haven't determined which one gets in the way on my PC.  Good luck!

@Straatford87 1108ea04700867ba there's my error report. This is pissing me off, I just spent fifteen dollars for a month of origin access premium, and now I can't even play the games I wanted.

@DarrenBH Tried this as well mate, with a reset of windows. Still no luck. Always download paused. Can’t seem to download games at all. But other platforms work well.

Guys I solved the download issue on my side. All I did was connect to the internet using my mobile hotspot instead of LAN cable. It started to download. Once it did, I paused the download and reconnected my LAN cable, and it continued to download. I’m finally free from this torment. Let me know if it works for you guys who are still stuck.

What fixed it for me was:

Step 1:

Close origin:

CTRL+SHIFT+ESC

Find anything with origin and close process

Step 2:

Disable Client Service:

win+tab+x

computer management

Services and programs/apps

Services

Find "Origin Client Service"

Right-click and go into properties

Change the Start method to inactive

Apply

OK

Then start origin as an administrator and it works. Or did of me.
