@io9us095po7n Hit Windows key-R and enter "services.msc" without quotes. Scroll through the list to where Origin Client Service and Origin Web Helper Service are listed; for each one, double-click, select "Disabled" under Startup type, and click Apply to save the changes. Then try to download again. You may need to restart your computer for it to work.

This worked for me.
Starting Origin again (not admin) asked me to log in, then the game started downloading and did not ask for any permissions.

make sure the "del" part of the command is included at the start. its confusing as its written on a different line.
this workaround worked for me and im now downloading again.
this is a very odd problem but then origin doesn't even have windows snap compatibility so no wonder its tripping up over its own feet.

Yes. This fixed the problem for me too.
Thank you so much.
I had to stop the origin client first before running those two del commands though.
