I was having FPS stuttering, lag, crashes and sometimes even disconnects during games in Apex Legends. I had no idea why my computer was unable to run the game, as all other games seemed to run flawlessly at max settings.
In the end, it turned out to be Origin itself. I had to go into the Origin application and in the top left click Origin > Application Settings.
Then up at the top go over to More > Origin In-Game. DISABLE THAT THING. Now watch and play Apex Legends as it was really meant to be played.
