Orgin not installed for Sims 4 so i cant play it

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? its telling me i need orgin to open my game and that orgin is not installed with my sims 4
What happens when the bug occurs? i cant play the game
What do you expect to see? Orgin is not installed and is required to play the game " fatal error"
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

@bsunflowers  Try clearing Origin's cache, then uninstalling it "the hard way."

Download the full installer, and run it as an admin: right-click on the download and select "Run as administrator."  This is a direct download link:

Then restart your computer.  When Origin is installed, run it as and admin too.

Hi bsunslowers

I too am having trouble with my Sims4 

The game does not have a autorun screen when i first put the disc in my computer,It showed the Sims4 Icon i tried to click on it and it would not run i have tried everything but it looks like its not actually loaded on my computer,Then when i first download Origin i had this message

Hold up hold up! An update is required.

The version of Origin you are using is no longer supported.
Please update your operating system to window7,macOS10.9
or newer in order to install the lastest version of Origin
and continue playing the game in your library.

Then it says learn more and takes you onto another page on google where i have followed more instrustion.

So i went onto chat in eagames and they said uninstall Origin and reinstall it again which i have done -Then they said you need to clear all the files,so they told me to download Revo uninstaller it took away all the registry files from Origin.

Then i reinstalled Origin again like they asked.

Now i am getting this message when i reinstalled origin:

The code execution cannot proceed because
VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found.Reinstalling
the program may fix this problem then it says OK

Then another message pops up saying:

MSVCP140.dll was not found.Reinstalling
the program may fix this problem.

And now i have a Sims4 disc which is not loaded onto my computer and i need Origin to play it-So my disc is no good to me now.

I was so looking forward to playing it and since eagames is supported by Origin loads of people of having this trouble i see in the forum.

When i used to play Sims 1,2 it was straight forward.

Can someone please help me out as i have no clue what to do as i am going round in circles.

@EL670419  The .dll files you listed are part of the 2015 VC++ runtimes.  It's best to uninstall your current copies, if you have any, and then download new ones from Microsoft.  Hit Windows key-i, select Apps, scroll down to Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable, click on both the x86 and x64 entries (if you have them), and select Uninstall.

You can download new copies here.  Be sure to install both the x86 and x64 versions.

@puzzlezaddict  i have uninstalled both of them you told me thank you-Could you please tell me if you can,Why the Sims4 disc is not loading as i thought the game would have installed onto my PC  before downloading Origin or is this not the case?

@EL670419  The order of operations is to install Origin, register your Sims 4 product key, and download it (or install via disc if you really want).  The game won't install without Origin present.

Origin itself installs the VC++ runtimes from 2010, 2013, and 2015, or at least it tries to; the missing .dlls you listed are specifically from the 2015 version, not any other.  If Origin throws similar errors but with different numbers, try installing the other versions.

For the 2013 version, be sure to install both x86 and x64, but you can skip the _arm version, which is for a different class of device.

@puzzlezaddict Hi, I have similar issue with my MacBook Air m1. I play for a while. Then the laptop freezes and does not respond to any commands. When I manage to log out and log back in, I see that origin writes such an error. Origin is not installed and is required to play the game.  I tried reinstalling origin. But it didn't help
