New game shortcut after each patch

Once upon a time, I used to open Apex using the shortcut on my desktop. One day, I got tired of looking at the shortcut, so I decided to delete it. Life. Was. Good. A while later, a new update for Apex rolled out. So I updated it. Once it finished updating, a new shortcut for Apex appeared on my desktop. This t R i G g E r E d me. Is there a way I can stop this from happening?

TL;DR : Must find a way to stop Origin from recreating shortcuts after every patch of the game.
