I have been trying to update my sims 4 game for a while now, but it would always tell me that there was a download error, and to check my internet connection or try again later. I just tried uninstalling my game and then redownloading origin, but the same issue is still happening, and the game itself won't reinstall. I also tried to enable safe mode downloading, but can't seem to find it anywhere after so many times looking. I do play with custom content, but I also tried to take it out and install it again but still got the same results. I also have a stable internet connection so I know that is not the issue. Could anyone possibly know why I'm having this problem?

@alb221303 Does your computer run Windows or macOS? You can try clearing Origin's cache (Windows) or running the Origin reset tool for Macs:
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/
In particular, if you have a Mac with OS X Yosemite, you may need to use a legacy version of Origin instead. Run the Origin reset tool, trash the Origin app in Applications, and download the legacy version from here:

If you have a Mac and aren't sure what OS you have, click the apple icon in the upper left corner of your screen and select About This Mac.
