Good, you're not running Yosemite which is currently causing issues. Could you please try all the suggestions in the first post on page 1, you should try disabling the proxies first.

Did you try getting in touch with Apple? That is what I had to do to resolve my issue.  In fact it was some files in folders that was causing the issue.

@puzzlezaddict I've been looking for a way to fix this for MONTHS!!! I was trying to play The Sims 4 a while ago and stopped trying because this kept happening, and it's been going on until I found your post. The reset tool worked for me. Thank you so much!!!!

@HIGHER-DESIGN I am having the exact same problem! very annoying! especially when origin is the only place i can play on my mac! ive tried everything and nothing seems to work

@Aliciascally18  When you say you've tried everything, what exactly have you tried?  The usual steps are to run the Origin reset tool and disable any proxy you have running.

If neither step makes a difference, please let me know exactly what happens when you try to open Origin.
