@dazycrazybeauty It would be really interesting to see. I kind of wish I had a Sims 4 disk lying around to try.

@dazycrazybeauty any word yet from the Sim Gurus you tweeted?

@elenaelena15 I never said it was okay or even understandable that this problem is happening; I said it doesn't mean that Sims 4 or the install process is incompatible with macOS. Whatever is broken, it's not broken for everyone. Then the question becomes what is different for the people who can't install vs. those who can.
You can see in the first couple of pages of this thread that there were many suggestions offered, none of which panned out. I think it's safe to say that the volunteer helpers here are out of ideas, at least for the moment. So we're stuck waiting to hear from EA, and most EA people are probably not working on a Sunday.

As you can see, some people solved the issue, but there were definitely far fewer reports on these problems than the current one.

Here are my specs as a refresher:

EA Help said that, because of the information from this thread and that it is working for other Mac users it does look like it's an Origin issue specifically. If we could all take a chance to follow these instructions and send our Origin logs to EA Help, it might give them the information they need to resolve this.

@juicyjugo00 I've moved your post to the master thread on this issue. There's no fix or workaround yet, but you can keep an eye on this thread for updates.
