Another solution is by going into your apps and featrures, look for the visual C++ 2015-2019 and "Uninstall" it will give you an option to repair when it pops up a new window. that fixed it for me.

I tried all these steps, Darko, hoping that it would fix it, but it is still not installing. When I attempt to install Origin, the installer just hangs on the 'Installing the latest version of Origin' part of the install process, and never gets beyond that point. I have followed all the steps in this thread, and have been working on this issue for about 2 weeks now, to no avail.
I have almost all of the Sims 4 purchases, but my computer needed to have Windows 10 re-installed, and Steam and other programs and games run fine on it now, but Origin will not install for some reason.
Is there any other hope for me with getting it installed on my PC again? I've invested almost $500 with Origin games, and I don't want to lose access to all of it because of this issue.

Hey @drummzz7, can you ensure that you are running Origin as administrator and that your firewall and anti-virus are not blocking Origin and that you also have the ports for Origin open.
The ports to open are:
You can also try turning off the routers firewall to see if it helps.
