No, you don't need to link your Steam Account to your EA Account, and it's impossible to do this.  I also don't have "Buy" button and many other players don't have it too. I don't know why that game is not available to buy on Steam, so I recommend to contact Steam support for information: https://help.steampowered.com/en/

Hi,

I have just worked out a way to do it you can't necessarily link them but if you buy a game off of steam and go in big picture mode there is a way to transfer it over by clicking manage game and view CD key then copy it into origin and voila your game is now in origin and I think you can do it with DLCs too.

This is really disappointing. Some games works perfectly fine with steam link + gamepad but most I tried doesn't detect the controller at all no matter what I do. Definitely cancelling my origin access with this anti consumer practices.

On steam select Burnout click reveal steam key
copy the key and activate your game on origin
there's no dlc because this wonderful game got abandoned and store is dead
