It won’t allow me to update even though it’s required

Whenever I bring the origin page up it’s trying to force me to update Sims 4. However every single time I try to update it the page crashes to desktop and nothing happens after that. I’ve run it in administrative and taken every mod out of my folder. It’s getting a little ridiculous because it won’t let me do anything on my account because if I cancel instead of trying to update it goes to desktop regardless.

@LarkChan65  Try clearing Origin's cache and restarting your computer:

If that doesn't help, clear Origin's cache and restart again, but try to repair first: open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.  Then right-click on the same icon and select Update.
