How to switch my sims to English?

I have recently downloaded sims onto my new computer. I downloaded it straight from origin and when it downloaded it is now all in German. My origin account has never been in German, I have checked settings and they are all in English except for the game. I tried going into electronic arts, and then maxis and then changing the language to en_US. But nothing has worked. I am extremely frustrated as it took over 12 hours to reinstall my sims game as well as all my expansion packs.

@FelicityCorne  You should be able to change the language directly in Origin.  Right-click on the Sims 4 icon, select Game Properties > Advanced Launch Options, and select English from the dropdown menu.  Afterwards, it's a good idea to repair the game: right-click on the Sims 4 icon and select Repair.
