That's a really hard thing to do when there's always an issue with Origin. No. Matter. What. At least I can still play Battlefield 1942 *sigh*

Hey @WhoopzOrigin let's try manually running the VC++ installer from the Origin installation folder to see if it helps - the default location for this folder is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin
From this folder, run one of both files:
If you get the message that the files are already installed, select Repair instead. It is recommended to run the installer as administrator (right-click the file, select run as admin).
You can also find the latest files on the Microsoft website:

@EA_Darko I've tried this and it didn't work, I even installed the one from Microsofts website. Still didn't work.
I also tried uninstalling Origin entirely and reinstalling it to no avail.
I've tried disabling my firewall, still didn't work, it basically installs the games, but Origin won't detect them. Battlefield 3 seems to have actually been installed before giving me the error.

I had this problem as well. I only had 2 virus scanners and I disabled them. Didn't work. Then added exceptions. Didn't work. Then it dawned on me. That freaking Windows Defender! I added the exceptions. It didn't quite work. I then turn off real-time protections (for the purpose of testing) and then BOOM! Downloaded and Finalized the games!

None of these worked for me...

Try going to c:drive/program data/common files make sure the view options are set to see hidden files. Then click in ea installer folder find game folder right click properties and unclick hidden and apply. You should now be able to install game/play game.
