Gift bought on the wrong account - Product code?

★★★★ Novice

So for Christmas 2015 my now ex-boyfriend got me The Sims 4, We've since broken up and I went to play it again today and it wouldn't let me. Then I remembered he accidentally bought it on his Origin instead of mine. Am I totally screwed now? He never has had any interest in the game and never will play it, is there no way I can get the product activation code from him? sims 4 stufffff.png

@Bubblekittea  I'm sorry, but there probably isn't anything you can do here.  Games can't be transferred from one account to another, regardless of the circumstances.  EA customer support is often willing to merge two accounts together, but it sounds like your ex has other games on his account, so he probably wouldn't go for that.  You can always ask, but even if you had the original code, which might not even exist (digital purchases don't always have them), you'd be unlikely to get what you wanted.

I know it's not what you wanted to hear, but there's currently a sale on many EA products, including TS4.  It looks like you could get the base game for $10 U.S.  I don't know what the price is in the U.K.; Origin keeps redirecting me to the U.S. store.  The expansion packs are 40% off as well.

I don't work for EA. I'm just trying to help fellow players with their games.
