Game won't install, error message

Game won't install at all, just gives me this error message:

It looks like you do not have the access rights needed to play this game. Please visit the game's website, sign up, and try again.

I have origin installed fine. the game, is obviously supposed to be free so it's not like I didn't "purchase" it, the download is directly from the apex legends home page. I don't know what to do here.

i had the same issue, used this link and chose sweden because thats where i live and then added to library and it worked, i think its some region bug

EDIT: choose your own country/region, mine is sweden thats why i picked it

i tried changing the country in EA account customer portal and still failed to download it

I had this same issue.

The fix for me was to login to the webpage.

Then click "Add to Library" and go through the prompts.

This allowed me to download.

I got the same error. Try this:

1. sign into website first.

2. Uninstalled Origin

3. Run the installer .exe again as admin (right click, run as administrator) and reinstall.\

4. Sign into origin.

This worked for me. I'm not 100% but it seems it initially installed with some sort of permissions issue by not running as admin to begin with but that should fix it.

My EA account is United States, but I'm currently in South Korea and can't download  it due to this issue

Me too, but creating a Korean account didn't help. The Korean page comes up with an error, so I don't know what's going on.
