Friends List missing from Origin and Apex Legends - offline status when Online [ Edited ]

 I moved and had to get internet turned on again  : 
( In interum I'd use cell data ). Friends list appeared then . 

When the  isp was set up ; this problem began ( seemingly ; coincidentally ) .

I even removed Origin, using revo uninstaller and installed again.

The problem persists. I tried to reset network and still nothing. 

Friends list will not appear in Origin nor in Apex list. I have many friends I added .
BUT the list is missing and says 0.
I cant even add new people .
I rarely see the invite or request of friends from others, when I do accept they do not appear in list . 

The game works But ;
No one can invite me to a game.  Origin friends do not appear ; Nor Apex Lobby list   . -_-

( Solved In my case ) : A firewall software I used, and the random custom values I made, in TinyWall caused the problem either with ports or processes . 
I cant even remember how I did that ;  because didnt think it would effect Apex.

Running the TinyWall installer.exe gave me a option to uninstall TinyWall, I did and that removed whatever custom rules I made to cause the problem .  Now Apex and Origin friends list appear and is working as intended.    )

Hey @Johnathan_Star_M, if you search your router make and model online you should find step by step guides on how to open the ports.

You can also speak with your ISP who will be able to assist with it.

Hey @Johnathan_Star_M this issue is often ISP related.

If it is working when you use mobile data but not on your home network thing this further points to it being related to your network or ISP.

To start with, can you ensure that you are running Origin as administrator and that your firewall and anti-virus are not blocking Origin and that you also have the ports for Origin open.

The ports to open are:

• TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 3216; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900
• UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 29900

You can also try turning off the routers firewall to see if it helps.

 I tested the cell data usb tether again yesterday  ;
that did not fix the problem. That maybe coincidental in timing and have nothing to do with the problem now that the problem persists after testing that .  Probably has to do with the ports on the desktop OS itself i guess and maybe ports as you suggested ; or firewall settings i changed.

but i cant remember where to change these settings back

@EA_DarkoI'll try researching what this TCP and UDP Ports mean. Im a layperson in computers and have no clue how most of it works . No clue what ports even are or do . 

It maybe the Ports as you said ; since I vaguely remember messing with settings related to that .
Also messed with a fire-wall software I use called TinyWall .
That also has settings to handel ports.

Ill try to back track and remember what changes i could have made.

If I have a system restore point ill try that as last resort. 

But seems like this Ports thing is the root of it  ?

Turning off TinyWall did not undo what changes i made to Ports. unless i did it somewhere else in windows system settings. I cant recall. but the ports if i changed them are still messed up . where do i find port settings ?

While i did not fix this yet, ill accept that as a solution since it seems logical given what settings i changed. 
If i confirm this ; I will update this post with details . Thanks EA_DARKO .

It appears to have been caused by TinyWall . I was having a prob with the UI for that software.
I didnt know running it's installer.exe again ; will give a option to Uninstall TinyWall.  So I uninstalled it .

Then Origin and Apex Legends friends list appeared again.  So it was whatever specific rules I made that blocked a Port or a Process ;  TinyWall caused the problem in my case.


I installed TinyWall again assuming the custom values were removed. They were .
Apex and Origin friends appear and is working .

So everything is all good.

  Problem resolved for me .
