Dragon Age Inquisition won't start

I had this problem and worked through a fix with live Chat. However the game would still not launch. I got the full black screen then it disappeared back to the desk top.

On a whim I turned off my Anti Virus, Avast for 10 mins. Magic! The game started!

So check your anti virus if your game won't start.

Great to hear that you got it sorted @kittsune. If it is your anti-virus that is the issue you can just go ahead and add an exception for Origin.

When I added the main game's directory folder to my anti-virus (AVAST!) the game was able to launch. AVAST! i know for sure blocks this game.

@kittsune GENIUS.. had been playing on and older computer, and the graphics were sluggish- couldn't launch on my new machine. your solution solved it.. you rock!
