Dead Space Stuck On Loading Screen

I just purchased dead space and when I first boot it up it gets stuck on the first loading screen, I’ve even tried the repair button AND reinstalling it and it’s dtill now working. I have a Windows 10 with 16 gb of Ram with a GTX 1060

Sorry to hear that you are having issues @xandispenser.

Can you try the following to see if it helps:

1. Go to the configuration file(s) location. (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Electronic Arts\Dead Space\)
2. Open settings.txt (if it isn't present create it manually).
3. Eventually change both Window.Fullscreen and Window.VSync to false.

If that doesn't help can you grab me a DxDiag so that I can take a look at your system: https://help.ea.com/en/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/

Yeah changing the settings didn't work for me so here's my info @EA_Darko

Hey @xandispenser let's start by going ahead and ensuring that when launching the game you are doing so on your 1060 and not the integrated one.

To change from your integrated card to your Nvidia card:

• Open "Nvidia Control Panel".
• Select "Manage 3D Settings" under 3D Settings.
• Click on "Program Settings" tab and then select the program you want to run.
• Select "Preferred graphics processor" in drop-down menu and then select use the dedicated graphics card, select High-performance Nvidia processor.

I switched the graphics and it still does not work, is there even a solution that isn't a refund at this point?

Your game isn’t working for me or my friend and it’s disappointing to me the you let these things happen without looking into them

I'm testing it now and able to run the game without issue.

@xandispenser just turn off the origin overlay and try. It should work, I tried all the below solution but that didn't, turning off the overlay worked for me. Give it a try.

I was having the same issue and turning off the overlay worked for me as well. It does seem as though some games don't like running with overlays.
