Can't add Friend on Origin

Hi, i cant add my friend on origin, i had linked my steam through Apex legends and it added him using my steam, but after i had realized it was my steam, i unlinked it and it still wont allow me to friend him, thanks in advance.

his user is Basketballjuicee so yeah
