I need to restart my computer but Im downloading a game that has taken 3 hours so far to get to 80% and I really dont want to lose all my time ive been waiting for it so I was wondering if I restarted my computer would they download resume in the same place?

Yes, if you pause the download you can pick up from where you left off.

How about if we quit origin? Because it won't go offline and i have 90% progress on a game and i don't want to lose all that...

@SJV1132007 As long as closing the screen down does not put the Mac to sleep or shut it down then the game will continue to download but as the system is still running the battery will be used.

so in order to continue downloading a game, you have to have origin running? i was downloading a game and i closed origin, when i launched origin the next day, there was no progress made over the night. I was a bit irritated and confused. Do i have to have origin minimized and running to download games? I can't close it or put my computer into sleep mode like steam?

You will need to have Origin running and your PC on in order to continue downloading games @Hi_U_D1E.
When your computer is in sleep mode nothing will download, this also applies to Steam. When your computer goes into sleep mode all running programs are paused as they are placed in a state of suspended animation so to speak.

but what if i accidentally shut off my pc would it still download at the same percentage i left it?
