Battlefield V Basic Access Removal?

★★★ Newbie

Why is Battlefield V included in Basic Access on the website but not in origin itself?

@descaradow A little over a week ago Battlefield V was upgraded in the Origin Access Basic Vault from the standard edition to the Year 2 Edition. At that time, several other EA-published games (e.g. Battlefield 1, Need for Speed Payback, STAR WARS Battlefront 2) were also upgraded in the Basic Vault from standard editions to higher editions.

Unfortunately, the replacement (i.e. removal) of the standard editions of these games triggered a notification for Basic subscribers that some of the games were no longer included with Origin Access Basic. What the message really means is that the standard editions of those games are no longer included with Origin Access Basic, since they have been replaced with higher editions.

If you can currently play Battlefield V and the Year 2 Edition content has already been redeemed/installed (check the game's Extra Content tab in your library), please disregard the notification.

If you added Battlefield V to your library prior to the upgrade, you might need to upgrade to the Year 2 Edition content via the game's Extra Content tab in your library. Once upgraded, you should have access to the upgraded content in the game.

If you've already upgraded to the Year 2 Edition content, but for some reason the game does't seem to work, try clearing Origin's cache (first make sure the Year 2 Edition content upgrade has been redeemed via the Extra Content tab). Then, after clearing Origin's cache, check the game again to see if it is working.
