Apex Legends wont resume its update

★★★ Newbie

I have been waiting for weeks for apex legends to update but its just stuck on resuming and i cant seem to stop the update or restart it.  This is frustrating because i would like to update madden 20 instead because i hardly play apex legends, however since the apex legends update wont resume i cant update madden 20, which means i cant play madden 20. I have tried to delete apex legends but i don't know how and ive tried editing the download speed but nothing seems to work. Can someone ls tell me how to fix this?

Hey @bungedb00ce can you ensure that your firewall and anti-virus are not blocking Origin and that you also have the ports for Origin open.

The ports to open are:

  • TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 3216; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900
  • UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 29900

You can also try turning off the routers firewall to see if it helps.

Let me know how you get on.

Hey @Spyroo1 those numbers refer to ports which can be looked at as doors on your router. If the ports are not open then it's the same as a door being closed, nothing is coming or going till such time as it is open.

If you are not comfortable opening the ports yourself then it can be worth speaking with your ISP as they will be able to talk you through the steps to open them.
