Hello.
I have had The Sims 4 on my mac since 2015, and all of a sudden it has stopped responding. When I open origin it comes up with "Your game library is currently empty" (I have quite a few games) and "Origin is unable to retrieve your list of games". This issue has been going on for about a week, even though the notification said it was temporary. I have updated my laptop, updated origin, deleted and re-installed it etc etc but nothing seems to work!
I have the sims installed yet when I try to open it it asks for an activation code, which I lost.
When I use origin on other devices it shows my game library with all my games, it just doesn't seem to work on my device.
Can someone please help I just wanna play the sims lol

@Crystal-Ice2006 I've moved your post to the Origin tech section, since this is an Origin issue and not one with Sims 4.
What version of macOS do you have? (To find out, click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of your screen and select About This Mac.) If you're still running Yosemite, it may help to download a legacy version of Origin. First though, do a clean uninstall to remove all traces of the current version of Origin from your computer. Here's how:
https://bluebellflora.com/how-to-uninstall-origin-on-a-mac/
You can download the legacy version from here:
https://www.dm.origin.com/mac/download/legacy
When installing, be sure to uncheck the box to automatically keep Origin and your games up to date, or else Origin will update itself to the current, nonworking version.
If you have a later OS, you can try these steps to troubleshoot. Start with an Origin reset, and if that doesn't help, make sure proxies are disabled. Instructions for each step are in this link:
Edit: @notalwaysondrugs I've merged your post with another on the same issue. Let me know if any of the above helps.

Hi!
It started out with me not being able to update or Repair my Sims 4, so I looked at some threads (this one for example), I try using the Reset Origin Tool, and re-installing origin, after I logged it I get this message:
Pls help!

Yes, it was the exact same for me! I tried updating the Sims 4 and it said I couldn't, so when I logged out and back into origin this whole issue occured.
