August Vault Update

★★★★ Novice

I got an email yesterday saying that the August 6th update has arrived, bringing the escapists to the vault (a game I really want to play!) and I have only just received the July update, with FIFA 19 ect. Do I need to wait a month for it to kick in, or is there something I can do?

Thanks in advance,

PhileasFogg3

The news came August 6th but the games will actually be added on August 20.

Hey @PhileasFogg3 you should receive the Vault update on the same day that everyone else does.

Can I ask where it is that you are located?

I am located in the UK. I am just asking as I am wondering if I am behind, or didn't receive the update for any reason.

Thanks,

Hey @PhileasFogg3 you should get the vault update at the same time as everyone else.

If it is a regular occurrence that you do not get the update at the same time as everyone else then let's try clearing the Origin Cache to see if it helps.

You can clear the Origin Cache by following the steps below:

  1. Completely log out and close down Origin
  2. Hold down the Windows key and R
  3. Type in "%ProgramData%" (without quotes) and click OK
  4. Now open the Origin folder.
  5. Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for LocalContent (do not delete this one)
  6. Hold down the Windows key and R
  7. Type in "%AppData%" (without quotes) and click OK
  8. This will take you to a Roaming folder, which is located inside of AppData. Delete the Origin folder
  9. Click on the word "AppData" at the top of your window
  10. Open the Local folder here
  11. Delete the Origin folder listed here
  12. Restart your PC and log back into Origin

Yup I have done that no sign of the August Update, which was emailed to me. I guess it has not been released then? And if so, why did the email state it had been?

Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks,

Hey @PhileasFogg3 as @N7_A_M_R_Egypt said your vault will update on the same day as every other user.

If come that date, in this case August 20 you do not see the update then please try the steps I posted above.
