PC: NFS Rivals start screen hanging

I did it. Now i can start and run the game, but I can't use the controls! The car accelerates by it self and I can neither break or steer!

If you have any controller, joystick or other USB input device expect keyboard and mouse connected, unplug it and try it again.

Switch from x64 to x86! It should work then!

Should work however this will reduce performance, try the following steps first however,

Please attempt to disable origin in game,

1) Press Origin > Application Settings

2) Press 'Origin InGame'

3) Make sure 'Enable Origin InGame' is deselected.

Try it this way if it still does not work then try x86, tell us whether it worked or not so we can advise accordingly.

If that does not help you, then please attach a dxdiag to this topic.

I just had to change the game to run in 32-bit in Origin options, did not need to do any modifications to the shortcut or the compatibility mode.  Runnin on Windows 10 64-bit.  Excellent solution.  Thanks.

I'm having this same problem. My game worked the day I installed it, but only loads up to the title screen now and won't do anything when I hit "enter". I don't understand why there has not been a "fix" to this problem considering that the game was released over three years ago. I'm starting to lose faith in EA's abilities when it comes to pc gaming as I find out that this is where they seem to be having the most problems. If I can't find a solution to this problem with Need For Speed Rivals in the very near future of the next week or two at the most then I may demand my money back and take my business, money, and loyalty elsewhere. Hell, I know I can get free hacked downloads of any game if I ever decide to give it another try down the road in a year or so, but I prefer having the legitamite real deal.
